“Are you sure?” Lotte and I are unpacking our suitcases. It’s the last Sunday of the holiday and I tell her my suspicions. “You really think there’s a connection between those four incidents?”
“Yeah, I’m sure of it.”
“But you don’t know what the connection is?”
I turn around. “I have absolutely no idea.”
Lotte stops unpacking and sits down. “You know, if someone else had said the exact same thing I would think he or she had gone mad. You’re already mad, so that’s impossible.”
I laugh. “Why, thank you.”
“Okay, but even though the Doctor said not to investigate the incidents, you are going to do it.”
“Yeah, well, the Doctor said we have to tell him if we see another strange creature, not that we’re not allowed to investigate.”
“Ah, you’re being sneaky. Nice.”
“Who is being sneaky?” I turn to the door, where both Fred and George are standing.
“Beckett is.” Lotte says.
“Really?” George walks to Lotte and gives her a kiss. “Hey gorgeous, haven’t seen you in a while.”
“I like it when you’re being sneaky.” Fred gives me a kiss. “But why are you being sneaky?”
“Well, do you remember the incident with Fluffy, and the object that has been stolen from the teacher’s vault?”
“Do you know what that object is?” George asks.
“Eh, no. Anyway, there also have been the incidents with the Weeping Angels and the Silence.”
“The what?” Fred asks.
“The Silence. Long story, they have been in school right before the holiday.”
“Ah.” Both boys say.
“Anyway, the Doctor said something about these incidents not being the last, and now Beckett wants to investigate them even though the Doctor didn’t allow it.” Lotte finishes.
“Well, he didn’t say we’re not allowed to investigate. He said we have to tell him if we see another creature that doesn’t belong here.” I say once again.
“I see. You’re pretending like it wasn’t a real warning.” George says.
“Exactly.”
“Can we help?” Fred asks.
“I already hoped you’d ask that.”
“So, that’s a yes?” Lotte asks.
“Yep.”
“Cool. How do you want to start?” Fred asks. I can see his eyes twinkle when he looks at me.
“Well, I thought it would be a good idea if we would check what the teachers know. I was thinking about visiting Jack today.” I say.
“Good idea. We could visit Sirius.” Lotte says.
“Fred and I come with you to Sirius. We have something to ask about the Map.” George says.
“Have you found another secret passage way?” I ask.
“Oh, c’mon. I was trying to be mysterious.”
“Sorry.” I say. “Anyway, shall we go immediately?”
“Yeah, sure.” Lotte says.
“You’re really curious about this, aren’t you.” Fred says while Lotte and George already walk to the door.
“Of course I am. My middle name is ‘curious’.”
“I thought that was ‘stubborn’?”
I laugh. “Yeah, that’s also possible. Come on, let’s go.”

When I walk into the training centre, I hear noises coming from the office next to the shooting area. I guess Jack’s working. I push the door to the office, but stop and stand in the door opening. Jack and Sirius are lying on the floor, both shirtless and kissing each other. Yeah, awkward.
I want to walk back, but they’ve already noticed me.
“Sorry.” I say.
Jack sighs and stands up. “Eh, that’s okay. I think. What do you want?”
“Well, it’s not really important. I, eh…”
“You’re already here, now say it.” To my surprise, Jack doesn’t even sound bothered. I know better, though, but Jack will probably be more bothered when I leave now.
“Right. First, I’m really, really sorry that I disturbed you and…Wow, nice abs, Sirius.”
“Becky.”
“I’m sorry, but I’m a teenage girl and there are two half naked and good looking men in front of me. You’d be distracted too if you were in my place. Anyway, I was wondering what you know about the incidents that happened in the last months.”
“I told you she’d come for this soon.” Sirius says.
Jack sighs. “What do you want to know?”
“Well… Wait, you’re going to tell me?”
“Yep.”
Sirius grins. “You’re going to find it out anyway.”
“Yeah, you’re probably right.” I say. “Anyway, the Doctor said these incidents wouldn’t be the last, so I figured there must be some connection between the incidents.”
“You are good. You should become a detective later.” Sirius sits down on one of the chairs.
“I keep telling her that. You’re right, there is a connection between the incidents.”
“There is?” I’m surprised my suspicion is true.
“Yes. We have found evidence at every incident that leads to the incident before that one.”
“When the Book was stolen from the vault, we found hair from Fluffy strapped to a letter that said “This is only the beginning”.” Sirius continues.
“The Book? There was a book in the vault?”
“Yes. It’s probably a very important Book with some very important stuff written in it, because professors Dumbledore and McGonagall don’t want to tell us why it’s so important.”
“You just said important three times.” I say to Sirius.
“Yeah, well, that defines how important it is, doesn’t it?”
“Anyway, after the incident with the Weeping Angels we found a page of the Book on the exact same place as were the Angels were found.” Jack continues the story.
“And at the nest of the Silence we found a tiny angel statue.” Sirius says.
“This is the only thing we know about it. Sirius and I are asked to investigate it.”
“But we can always use some help from four very talented and very sneaky kids.”
“Ah, well, I think those four kids would love to help.” I say.
“Great.” Jack and Sirius both say.
“Well then, I think I should tell them that we are going to help you, so I’m going to leave you two alone again and go back upstairs.” I say and I walk back to the stairs.
“Becky…” I hear the two man say so I turn back around.
“Can you promise to keep this a secret? I mean, both things…” Jack says.
“With the exception of Lotte and the twins, of course. They’ll found out anyway.” Sirius concludes.
“I promise.” I say.
I want to walk back, but they’ve already noticed me.
“Sorry.” I say.
Jack sighs and stands up. “Eh, that’s okay. I think. What do you want?”

As I walk upstairs to the first floor, I meet Lotte and the twins wandering around on the -2nd floor.
“Hey, have you seen Sirius? He’s not in his office nor in his classroom.” Lotte says when she sees me.
“Eh, yeah. He was downstairs with Jack. And they were busy, so if you want to ask him something about the Map you should wait.” I say, knowing the boys would go back downstairs if they had the chance.
“Okay, busy with what? And did they gave you the information you wanted?” Fred asks.
“I’m not sure if I should answer the first. But the second: yes. There is indeed a connection between the incidents and they are sure there are more incidents to come. Jack and Sirius are investigating all this and they asked if we could help them. I said yes.”
“So, we’re allowed to investigate the incidents?” George asks.
“Well, Jack and Sirius allow us to, but we have to keep it a secret.”
Fred and George both grin. “I see.”
“Anyway, at every incident they have found something of the incident before.” We walk upstairs to the locker room, where we go to the passage to the other building. There we stand still. “They found Fluffy’s hair in the vault with a note that said “This is only the beginning.”. The object that has been stolen is some sort of very important Book. Jack and Sirius don’t know why it’s so important. Anyway, they found a page of this Book on our lunch spot; the place where the Angels were found. And at the nest of the Silence they found a tiny angel statue.”
“But the incident with the Angels was before that Book was stolen. How can there be a page of the same Book on the spot where the Angels were when it wasn’t stolen yet?” Lotte asks.
I hadn’t thought about that yet. “I don’t know. Maybe they are in the possession of a time machine. Or they stole the TARDIS.”
“No, it’s not that last option. Nobody but the Doctor knows how to fly that box.” Lotte says.
“It could also be that they made a duplicate of a page to let us think they have a time machine.” George says.
“Nice thinking. That would mean this is all very well organized.” I say. I grab the blue notebook out of the pocket in my sweater and open it.
“So that’s how you’re using the notebook. Do you like it?” Fred asks.
“Yeah, it’s really cool. Really useful too. Thanks.” I give Fred a kiss.
“How did that fit in your pocket?” George asks.
“Big pockets. I like big pockets in a sweater.” I answer. “Anyway, now we know that the unknown suspects are organizing this all very well. This probably means they’re taking this very serious and that they are trying to sabotage the school. Anything more?”
“Well, they’re also trying to confuse us.” Lotte says.
“The incidents get worse, too. The one with Fluffy was still a bit innocent, while the one with the Silence apparently was more dangerous. Eh, Chantal told us the whole story.” Fred continues when he looks at my slightly confused face.
I write down these things. “I guess that’s all we have right now.” The three others nod in agreement.
“Now, why are you not sure if you should tell us what Jack and Sirius were busy with?” George looks curious.
“Well, it was kind of awkward.” I say. I still don’t know if I should tell. “Did you know Sirius is gay?”
It stays silent for a while. “You’re kidding.” George finally says.
“I think I know what was so awkward.” Lotte says.
“I think I know why you didn’t allow us to go back downstairs.” Fred says.
“Was it, like, really awkward, or just awkward?”
“George, that question was very vague.” I answer. “But it was ‘just awkward’. They were shirtless and kissing, and lying on the floor, but that’s it.”
“Did you just say they were shirtless?” Fred asks.
“Yes, and they looked good. And don’t look at me like that. It’s not like I don’t like you shirtless.” I say. “Well, I’ve never seen you shirtless, but…”
“Ah, I can make that happen.” Fred makes a start to take off his shirt.
“That was not an invitation to start stripping.” I say. Not that I don’t like it.
Fred stops and smirks. “What? Don’t you like the idea of my shirtless body?” He embraces me for a kiss.
“You do realize we’re not alone, right?” I ask. When we look up we see that Lotte and George are kissing too.
“I don’t think they mind.” Fred says and he kisses me again.
